Quality Label for motorway stations: Total the big winner!
10 March 2005

Flemish Public Works Minister Kris Peeters awarded a quality label to ten of the thirty-seven motorway stations in Flanders. No fewer than eight of them were Total stations, making Total the big winner in the first round of quality label awards!

A survey of 1500 motorway station users showed that customers expect a clean, safe and accessible station, and clear and comprehensive information. On the basis of the results of this survey the Flemish Government joined up with the petroleum companies to draw up a 100-point checklist for stations. The reputable certification company SGS was called in to conduct no fewer than four audits at each site, covering petrol station, restaurant, shop, toilets, parking and any motel facilities.

For Total, the label rewards many years’ hard efforts to optimise service and quality invested by the Top Service Team and all staff at the stations. Total distinguishes itself from the competition through the daily application of these values.

This policy is expressed in many ways, including regular internal and external audits with respect to quality, friendliness, safety and hygiene, and additional customer services at all motorway stations, such as toilets and WiFi internet hotspots.

The label is valid for one year, during which time the winning stations are permitted to display the quality label rainbow logo on flags, stickers, posters and other media provided by the Flemish Government.

Total is committed to acquiring the quality label for every one of its stations in the foreseeable future, in association with its restaurant partners. This is Total’s pledge to its customers!

Total, you don’t come to us by chance!
